HQ 21 Singapore Infantry Brigade
The history of HQ 21 Singapore Infantry Brigade can be traced back to 01 April 1981, when it was founded and formally recognised as HQ 1 PDF Bde Group. The brigade was placed under 2 PDF's jurisdiction when HQ PDF split to form HQ 1 PDF and HQ 2 PDF Command on 01 Apr 1985. Renamed to HQ 21 SIB on 7 September 1990, the brigade is founded upon ten ideals: Pride, Determination, Fortitude, Honour, Steadfastness, Resilience, Security, Initiative, Alertness and Boldness. This mélange of values have served the brigade well in achieving balance and success in her discharge of their duties towards National Defence.
