Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department
The Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) is the customs authority of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. It was established in 1909 and plays a key role in border protection, trade regulation, revenue collection and law enforcement. Aside from enforcement, Customs engages in public education, compliance guidance and stakeholder outreach to help travelers and businesses understand regulatory requirements and prohibited items.
